Liminal Design
Liminal Design was the first of three prototypes developed over a six-month period at Liminal, after we received our HTC Vive Developer Kit.
An interior-design app, Liminal Design placed users in a small kitchen/living space and allowed them to make various selections regarding the space’s design. Everything in the space was customisable, including furniture, decor, lighting, walls and flooring. The app also featured a very rich analytics engine, recording all user selections and timings, as well as an activity and attention heatmap. This data could be emailed to the sales agent at the end of a session. The app also captured a 360 image of the designed space at the conclusion of the session, which was sent to the client in the form of a Google Cardboard-enabled WebGL virtual tour.
