Storm
Whether captivated by a solar eclipse, or dwarfed by the immensity of the Australian outback, experiencing awe in the presence of nature can be so powerful and profound that it transforms the spectator, reorienting their lives, goals and values.
PETRICHOR uses the unique immersive capabilities of location-based VR to mobilise audiences to take sustained action for the environment. Informed by research from the Australian Climate Council, it is designed to recalibrate attitudes to the environment, and directly address the urgent need for ecological compassion.
PETRICHOR is currently at first prototype stage, with development supported by Screen Australia and Greenpeace Australia Pacific.
